We have a similar tangle of roots in our backyard, not nearly so photogenic.
wow... I hope it was just roots, maybe my imagination but I could see a mighty scary creature in there :)
Who knew that dragons were born of trees and wood.
Beautiful shot. I love gnarly roots that look as if they belong in a primeval forest. It does look like a creature!
at first glance I saw a great, wordless monsterish galumph, glaring at the world with ominous eye, it's toothy mouth gobbling the ground before it...
Interesting photo: I see a dragon in the roots. I must be reading too many sci fi books. LOL!ThanksRobin of mytwoblessings
I saw a scary monster in the roots too. In selecting today's picture, I considered a tree root picture too, but my roots are not as fun as yours.
I see life clinging on at all costs! Monstrous, yes.
Nice to see that I am not the only twisted thing that you take an interest in!
This is a Catalonian Tree Dragon.Bit of a country bumpkin really. Not a bit scary.Quite friendly, in fact.
Did you, or GB, carry a sword with which to slay such random dragons you might chance upon when you hiked recently in the mountains in Spain?
I thought at first that it was a grizzly (I believe Spain is famous for its grizzlies). Love the phone alarm story!Don't worry about the catlets; Son and Daughter 2 were at home to tend to their every whim.
