Ohh, first again! Did you take that? It's beautiful! I've heard of bluetits before but this is my first encounter with a whatsit---have you notified the Audubon Society of your discovery?

Pretty. Is that a black-capped chickadee?

I just found your blog. How wonderful. You're speaking my language. (I AM referring to the post below, but birds are nice too!)

What is that bird? There seem to be so many I have never seen before, about the blogworld.

Perhaps, the bird is a male Reed Bunting or a Pallas's Reed Bunting. The picture is great whatever kind of bird.

And mjd is right, of course ... it is a Reed Bunting ... he provided endless entertainment on a recent riverside walk for the psychotic canine and myself!

He is also, yet another of our once" common or garden" birds, who is now facing the real possibility of extinction.

Makes you wonder what real "progress" is all about.

Lovely photo anyway. And in reply to your comment, I fear I tend to take after my father, in looks anyway...

Such a sweet little bird. I hope its kind don't become extinct because of human stupidity.

I was sorry to read of your ailment and computer problems. Hope all is, or will soon be, much better!

Very cute. I like the contrast of the delicate little bird on the barbed wire! I too just stumbled on your blog and have enjoyed browsing.

Well, YOU may be wordless but I'm sure that beautiful little bird trills most charmingly.

Great photo!

I agree, a beautiful bird, so fragile and sweet.
